Electric Water Heater Rebate Modified The Bonneville Power Administration, the federal agency that funds CEC’s conservation programs, has modified the rebate for our electric water heater rebate program from $50.00 down to $25.00. The reason for this reduction is that new standard water heaters are more efficient than they used to be, which means less energy savings when a high efficiency model is chosen over a standard model. Even though the energy savings is less, it’s still a wise move to choose a more efficient water heater the next time you make a purchasing decision. |
